Equality, diversity and inclusion

We firmly believe that embracing and valuing the diversity of thoughts, ideas, and work approaches from individuals with different backgrounds, experiences, and identities benefits everyone.

This approach fosters employee growth, facilitates learning, unlocks their potential, enhances decision-making, encourages innovation, and enables us to better serve our diverse customer base of teachers and students.

To achieve this, we have committed to the following actions:

Recognising and Valuing Individual Differences

We create an environment where the unique contributions of each team member are acknowledged and appreciated.

Zero Tolerance for Unacceptable Behaviour

We do not tolerate any form of harassment, discrimination, bullying (including cyberbullying), or victimisation in employment or service provision.

Guidance and Training

We provide guidance and training on diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity to employees, contractors, trustees, and associates.

Encouraging Reporting

Anyone who experiences or witnesses discrimination is encouraged to report it to their manager, the People Group, or an Employee Forum or Trade Union representative.

Personal Responsibility

We emphasise personal responsibility in promoting equal opportunities and treating everyone with dignity and respect.

Regular Review

We periodically review our employment practices, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with our commitment.

Monitoring and Transparency

We assess the effectiveness of our diversity and inclusion efforts and share results with consultative bodies annually.

We expect all community members to recognise and uphold these commitments. Additionally, we adhere to relevant legislation and best practices.

Discrimination based on age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation will not be tolerated.

Addressing discrimination

Unacceptable behaviour, harassment, and victimisation contradict our goal of a supportive work environment.

Allegations of such conduct are thoroughly investigated and disciplined according to our Dignity and Respect at Work Policy and Procedure.
